San i dugovječnost

POSTOJI VAŽAN RAZLOG ZAŠTO TREĆINU ŽIVOTA MORAMO PRESPAVATI

Provodimo trećinu života spavajući i možemo reći da je najveći san većini ljudi na ovome svijetu – naspavati se. Kvaliteta je sna narušena iz više razloga, a je li zabrinutost glavni razlog, možda čak i nije jer i prije su ljudi živjeli u izazovnim vremenima i borili se s nedaćama života.

Postoji više faktora koji utječu na kvalitetu sna odnosno njegovu nekvalitetu. Nabrojat ćemo samo neke:

– odlazak na počinak iza 22 sata, rad do kasno u noć, zamjena noći i dana, rad u smjenama, buka, previše osvijetljen prostor, neadekvatan ležaj, spavanje s partnerom ili djetetom, životna dob, nedovoljna tjelesna aktivnost, stres, zabrinutost i druga tjeskobna stanja, prevelike ambicije, grižnja savjesti, navika prizivanja loših misli i slika iz prošlosti ili budućnosti, loša prehrana, kasna večera, tjelovježba prije spavanja, kronični bolovi, PTSP…

ARHITEKTURA SNA

Naš se mozak tijekom spavanja ne odmara već je vrlo aktivan i to s razlogom. Dok se tijelo odmara, mozak nas „čisti“ od nakupljenih podražaja tijekom prethodnog dana, resetira se i ne treba biti zabrinut zbog lucidnih snova koje svi manje-više doživljavamo.

Sve više ljudi pati od poremećaja početne faze spavanja, a to je zaspivanje, utonuće u san. Koliko god smo umorni, dogodi se da se mozak razbudi i počne s izračunima, kalkulacijama, smišljanjem, boravkom u prošlosti, grižnjom savjesti zbog učinjenog, rečenog, kao „mogli smo ipak to bolje, zašto nisam ovako, drugi put ću mu odbrusiti onako…“, a najteže je kada u srce uvučemo strah i onda iz straha virimo na slike budućnosti u najgoroj verziji.

Faze sna jesu proces u kojemu nijednu fazu ne možemo preskočiti već jedna slijedi drugu.

Faza 1: Lagani san

Namiještamo jastuk, najugodniji položaj tijela i trebao bi trajati otprilike 10 minuta. U toj se fazi vrpoljimo, okrećemo se čak i do 40 puta. Ukoliko osjetimo nemir i nelagodu u nogama, čak znojenje tijela, postoje naznake da smo suviše uznemireni i da ćemo teško zaspati. Ukoliko se to ponavlja, potrebno je prije lijeganja u krevet uvesti zdrave navike i rutuale (ne gledati TV prije spavanja, razgovarati o problemima, biti uz kompjuter).

Može se dogoditi da prilikom usnivanja čujemo da netko zaziva naše ime ili osjetimo kao da padamo pa se trgnemo. To je normalno. Moždana aktivnost se smanjuje za 50%, a ujedno osjećamo potrebu da se pokrijemo, da nam je hladno. U ovoj fazi naši pokreti očiju su vrlo aktivni.

Faza 2: Dublji san

Smiruje se aktivnost očiju, srce sporije tuče, disanje je dublje i smirenije, moždana aktivnost usporena. Ova faza traje otprilike 15 minuta.

Faza 3: Prva faza dubokog sna

Pojedinu fazu možemo podijeliti u više pod-faza. U fazi dubokog sna teže nas je probuditi. Vanjski zvukovi kao što su promet, mijaukanje mačke ili lavež psa moguće da nas neće probuditi, naročito ako su udaljeni ili smo već navikli na ove zvučne okolnosti.

Dolazi do bljeskova moždanih aktivnosti. Mozak je električna centrala. Pokreti očiju se počinju ubrzavati, kao i rad srca. Ako ste čuli svoga partnera da diše ili hrče kao lokomotiva, kao da radi neki dinamičan posao, to je to. Mislite kako se on ne može odmoriti, ali upravo je ta faza sna vrlo bitna za resetiranje i pokušajte da ga ne budite opominjanjem. Radije razmotrite da ne spavate zajedno ukoliko to možete izvesti u postojećem stambenom prostoru. Bit će zdravije za oboje, naročito ako se budite noću i idete do toaleta.

Faza 4: Druga faza dubokog sna

Nastavlja se rad. Kao da tijelo radi treću smjenu. Resetiranje je temeljitije. Faze dubokog sna toliko su bitne da od njih ovisi hoćemo li se sutradan probuditi regenerirani ili umorni.

Faza 5: REM faza

Svi smo čuli za ovu fazu sna koja nastupa tek nakon 2 sata od usnivanja. Tijelo je u ovoj fazi potpuno nepokretno, ali sve ostale aktivnosti ubrzano rade. U ovoj fazi dok spavate, vaš partner imat će barem mira što se tiče vašeg „koprcanja“. Ali mašina i dalje radi.

U REM fazi moždana aktivnost je najjača. U ovoj fazi sanjamo, makar se snovi mogu pojaviti i u prethodnim fazama. Ako se probudimo odmah iza ove faze, prisjetit ćemo se sna. Znanost pokušava odgonetnuti zašto je ova faza sna bitna za jačanje memorije, svega onoga što učimo i rješavamo kroz komplicirane zadatke.

NESANICA

Razni su uzroci i navest ćemo neke:

– buka i neadekvatan prostor

– neudoban krevet

– dijeljenje kreveta s partnerom ili s djetetom

– seks neposredno prije spavanja (naročito problem kod žena)

– spavanje s kućnim ljubimcem

– kasna večera

– mnogo tekućine prije spavanja

– lijekovi koji potiču na mokrenje

– loša priprema za san

– lijeganje kasno u noć

– TV u spavaćoj sobi, kompjuter…

– brige, tjeskoba

– kronični bolovi

– navika na kemijska sredstva za spavanje
